A day without sun

So, I had A Day Without Snow, as one blog title.  I will try this one today, since it is what I see when I look out the window.  The sky is gray.  It doesn’t look like it would be a particularly inviting day, however, it is mid-January, and it is supposed to get up to t-shirt temperature by this afternoon.  The girls and I will take a walk.  To stay inside would be a travesty.  Not to mention that if I don’t get outside, I get a little nutso cuckoo pants, so there is that.

To look outside would be to witness one of weather’s greatest misrepresentations.  It is actually a beautiful day, but you have to actually go outside to find out.  I am certain there is some great life lesson to be had here, and if I put enough effort into doing so, I could go on and on about it.  I am not going to do that, though.  I am going to be peaceful and enjoy the secret joke the sky is trying to play on anyone lucky enough to have a view out a window.  I will enjoy the view of the gray sky and know that out in the world spring is just around the corner, and toy boats float down streams in the gutters.
