Day 1
You have a cat. She has been a good cat, although in the years you’ve had her you’ve become less and less of a pet lover. She is very old now, and you have been wondering for weeks whether or not it is time to do something drastic. Your cat has diabetes, and the vet says that there’s not much you can do to make her better. You’re going to be leaving for a week’s trip out of the country in less than 10 days, and you need to figure out what to do with your trusty friend. She cannot be left alone while you’re gone. Write a story about how you choose to handle this and the emotions that go along with it.
